AFP Transport

    Transport and Receipt Requirements


To guarantee adequate protection of both parties, the following instructions, which regulate the conduct of the Clients regarding the Sending and Receiving of the goods, should be followed. The instructions are divided in two sections, a summary and a more detailed section. Read both sections to see the rules and liabilities of both the Sender and the Receiver.


Summary

The following points have to be fulfilled:

The postal address: The Sender has to send the goods to the address supplied by SafeDeal.
Postal confirmation: The Sender has to use AFP Transport which allows SafeDeal to confirm the postage. SafeDeal Transaction is automatically updated with the tracking number the day the goods are sent.
Insurance: Shipping for an SafeDeal Transaction through AFP Transport requires the sender to insure the goods for their entire value.
The delivery address: The Receiver has to give precise information of the address where the goods are to be sent and collect them promptly from AFP Transport.

Please read the following paragraphs for the liabilities of both the Sender and Receiver.


In Detail

The Postal Address

    Send to the address which is shown on your transaction page.
    For security reasons SafeDeal will not send e-mails containing postal addresses.
    Other methods of obtaining addresses are not recognised by SafeDeal.

Postal Confirmation

    The Sender must use AFP Transport courier which allows SafeDeal to directly confirm the dispatching of the goods.

    The day of despatching, AFP Transport updates the SafeDeal Transaction with the tracking number .
    AFP Transport is responsible for the goods until the Receiver, his agent or appointee, receives them. The Receiver can never declare to have not received the goods as shipping and delivery is handled by AFP Transport and SafeDeal Service.

    The Inspection Period begins at
    12:01 on the working day after the delivery, as indicated by the AFP Transport.

    SafeDeal will not release the payment until
    1. the Receiver has approved the purchase or 2. the Inspection Period is not concluded.

Insurance

    Shipping for an SafeDeal Transaction through AFP Transport requires the sender to insure the goods for their entire value. AFP Transport and SafeDeal assumes full responsability for the goods until they are received.

Delivery

    The Receiver is responsible for providing SafeDeal with detailed information of the address where the goods are to be sent. The Receiver has to notify SafeDeal immediately of any changes of address.
    The Receiver is responsible for assuring that someone is available to receive or collect the goods promptly from the AFP Transport. If someone signs for the collection of the goods, on behalf of the Receiver, the Receiver is responsible all the same for their consignment and the Inspection Period will begin.
    The Receiver is responsible for notifying SafeDeal, within the time established by the Inspection Period, if the goods were damaged in the shipping process.
    If the goods are damaged, the postage and packing is covered by an insurance, the Receiver has to immediately notify the Sender, SafeDeal and AFP Transport. AFP Transport will inform the Receiver how to proceed. The Receiver must also keep the merchandise and all the packaging to show for insurance.

    * The terms Receiver and Sender refer to the registered Buyers and Sellers that are using the SafeDeal Service. The Buyer and Seller can be either the Sender or Receiver according to the circumstances. For either situation the same rules apply.

We own and operate our own companies with warehouses in Norway, Denmark & Italy, all other worldwide destinations are covered by our affiliated organization member companies.
